IAPH proudly announces its membership in the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Certification Service. This achievement signifies IAPH’s commitment to delivering high-quality public health education and training programs designed to address global gaps and meet global standards.

IAPH is already accredited and recognized by the APHEA and ASIC, and this new membership allows it to expand its reach by providing  CPD  accredited professional trainings.

With over 25 years of experience, the CPD Certification Service is a global professional membership body dedicated to driving excellence in CPD accreditation. It provides its members with the knowledge and guidance to design and deliver training against an industry-leading framework.

Executive Director of IAPH, Dr. Mohammad Al Tarawneh highlighted the strategic importance of this milestone by stating that:

"Becoming a member of the CPD Certification Service is a significant advancement for IAPH. This development falls in line with the academy’s aims to empower public health professionals by providing them with the relevant skills they need to tackle pressing health challenges with the highest level of competence and expertise. Although we are very proud of what we have achieved we are not complaisant. We will continue to look for ways to align our programs, diplomas, and course offerings with international standards of excellence. Doing so will empower the participants in our programs, as it will not only enhance their knowledge but also advance their careers."

What is CPD and Why Does It Matter?

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development, a term used to describe the structured learning activities professionals undertake to develop and enhance their abilities. CPD encourages a proactive approach to lifelong learning, enabling individuals to stay updated with industry advancements, improve skills, and ensure their qualifications remain relevant.

Engaging in CPD activities—such as training courses and online programs—helps professionals build a documented record of their growing skills, knowledge, and experience. By continually “upskilling” or “reskilling,” CPD ensures qualifications and practical knowledge never become outdated, regardless of age, industry, or educational level.

This milestone underscores IAPH’s commitment to empowering professionals with internationally accredited training, equipping them to tackle global health challenges and advance their careers.
