IAPH Empowers UNRWA Staff with 130 Course Seats to Strengthen Public Health Capacities

The International Academy of Public Health (IAPH) provided 130 seats across all its available courses to support the professional development of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff. This initiative reflects both sides’ shared commitment to enhancing expertise in public health, leadership, and emergency response, ultimately improving the services UNRWA delivers to the communities it serves.

The primary goal of this collaboration is to equip UNRWA staff with critical skills and knowledge in  the areas directly relevant to their work. By the free access it gains to IAPH’s specialized courses, UNRWA ensures that its staff members gain insights that can immediately translate into improved efficiency and effectiveness in their roles.

IAPH and UNRWA worked closely to identify the most relevant courses, ensuring staff members had access to learning opportunities that align with their responsibilities. IAPH provided comprehensive support and resources to facilitate a seamless learning experience for all participants.

Among the diverse training opportunities, courses in Leadership and Management and Public Health Emergency Management were particularly in demand, thus highlighting the need for strong leadership and crisis response skills within humanitarian settings.

By investing in the UNRWA staff’s professional growth, this training is expected to their ability to address public health challenges, strengthen their decision-making capabilities, and improve service delivery to vulnerable populations.
