Introduction to health economics

This introductory course covers the principles of health economics and the basic elements of economic evaluation from conception, through design, data collection and analysis, to interpretation and use in decision making.

The course is intended for public health specialists and researchers who are, or will be, involved in the conduct of research projects that evaluate the cost-effectiveness of health care. The course will also be useful for professionals who would like a better understanding of the quality and clinical practice implications of different economic theories and concepts.
