Prof. Madi Al-Jaghabir

Prof. Madi Al Jaghabir is currently the head of Family Health and Community Medicine Department, at the faculty of Medicine, University of Jordan.  He obtained an MBChB from the University of Jordan's faculty of Medicine in 1978, and an M.S in Occupational Health and a D.Sc in Environmental Health from Tulane University in the United States in 1982 and 1984, respectively. He is a board-certified Occupational Health specialist from the Jordan Medical Council board and had a rotating internship at Jordan University Hospital from 1978 to 1979.

From 1985 to the present, Prof. Al Jaghabir has been a distinguished faculty member at Jordanian universities, having taught at the University of Jordan, Hashemite University, and Applied Science University. In his core research area, Prof.  Al Jaghabir focuses on occupational and environmental health. He has been involved in several funded research studies, as well as having authored a number of peer-reviewed articles in prominent academic journals.

Prof. Al Jaghabir is also a member of various international scientific associations and committees, including the Society of Public Health, Jordan Medical Association, Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology Network (WHO), and CEHA/WHO Environmental Health Regional Information Network. He has also been a member of the Jordanian Environmental Protection Society since 1987, the Anti-Smoking Society since 1994, the Arab Society for Public Awareness from Dangerous Drugs and Narcotics since 1996, and the Sustainable Development Society since 1998.

Prof. Al Jaghabir has been involved in training and consulting international and national health organizations including Jordan's Ministry of Health, WHO/UNEP, Jordan's Ministry of Labour, Jordan's Ministry of Industry and Trade, Jordan's Civil Defense, Jordan's Ministry of Water, and Jordan's Ministry of Interior since 1985.

Prof. Rima Habib

Prof. Rima Habib

Rima Habib is a Professor of occupational and environmental health, at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut.  She led research and made contributions in themes including: Work-related exposures and health; ecosystem approaches to human health in poor rural communities; and health of displaced and migrant populations. Her research has focused on the working experiences and occupational health outcomes of refugees in Lebanon, including Syrian refugee populations. She has led a project to assess the working conditions and social contexts of child labor among Syrian refugees. For her work on documenting the precarious living and working conditions of vulnerable communities, Dr. Habib was awarded the Occupational Health and Safety Section’s International Award of the American Public Health Association (November 2017). In recognition of her achievements and contributions in the field of occupational and environmental health, she has also been elected as a Fellow of the renowned Collegium Ramazzini.

Dr. Mona Radwan

Mona Radwan , post doc,  lecturer  and researcher of occupational medicine and environmental & Industrial Health , more than 10 years of teaching, training and research in occupational medicine and public and Environmental Health, well experienced in SPSS statistical program, Computer skills, Communication skills as  well as in Medical education , total quality management and clinical nutrition.

My research areas are diverse: radiation, occupational toxicology; immigration, Mental health and stress, bullying at workplace. International research and collaboration with Lund University, Sweden and Public Health Implications of Forced Migration and Conflict in the Middle East exchange course University of California Berkeley.

Eng. Ismail Al Masri

Eng. Ismail Al Masri

Eng. Ismail Al-Masri is a specialist in occupational health, safety, and the environment at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Jordan in Amman in 1995, and in 2015, he passed the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) in the United Kingdom.

Eng. Al-Masri has been a safety specialist and consultant for more than 24 years, specializing in occupational health, safety, and environmental programs (military service-Civil Defense- and private sector). He has an excellent ability to provide technical consultation, training, and inspection to ultimately ensure compliance with established environmental, health, and safety laws and standards, and is able to perform inspections to improve the level of compliance, and the abatement of hazardous or unsafe conditions to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Live Safety Systems, Risk Assessment and Analysis, Emergency and Evacuation Plans, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Emergency Response Plans, and Disaster Management and Evacuation Plans, are part of his practical and operational experience along his career path.

Eng. Al Masri is also certified as an OHSAS (18001) lead auditor and a Certified Trainer of Trainers (TOT).

Dr. Maysaa Nimer

Dr. Maysaa Nimer

Dr. Maysaa Nemer is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Community and Public Health at Birzeit University. She is currently the Head of the Epidemiology Unit and the coordinator of the Research Ethics Committee at the institute. She holds a PhD in Occupational Epidemiology and MPhil in International Community Health from the University of Oslo, Norway.

Her research is mainly focused on occupational epidemiology, environmental health, and social and economic aspects of occupational and environmental health, with special interest on working women’s health. She has been involved on research projects on a range of topics, including respiratory effects related to environmental exposure to outdoor dust, the effects of environmental and structural factors on working women’s health, occupational exposure and health effects of agriculture workers in the Jordan Valley, gender awareness among healthcare providers, and the aspects of data governance and human rights in digital health initiatives related to maternal and child health services.

She is a member of various international occupational health committees, including the Scientific Committee on Occupational Health in Small-Scale Enterprises and Informal Sectors, ICOH, and the European Cooperation in Science and Technology-OMEGA NET Cost Action on occupational cohorts.
