IAPH’s Integrated Primary Health Care Training Program Earns Dual Accreditation from Jordan’s Leading Health Councils
The International Academy of Public Health (IAPH) is proud to announce that its Professional Diploma in Integrated Primary Health Care has received official accreditation from both the Jordanian Medical Council and the Jordanian Nursing Council.
This dual accreditation is a powerful endorsement of the program’s academic rigor, practical value, and alignment with national health priorities. With Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours now recognized for physicians, nurses, dentists, and pharmacists, the program offers a clear path for health professionals aiming to sharpen their skills and advance their careers in primary health care.
At its core, this achievement reflects IAPH’s commitment to transforming primary care across the region. By offering accessible, accredited, and hands-on training, we’re equipping a new generation of PHC providers to lead the charge toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC) with stronger systems, better outcomes, and people-centered service at every level.
About the Diploma
The Professional Diploma in Integrated Primary Health Care is a 9-month, blended-learning program by the IAPH. Developed to meet the region’s urgent need for skilled PHC providers, this diploma equips physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and public health professionals with the clinical, public health, and leadership competencies needed to deliver comprehensive, team-based care.
The curriculum covers core PHC domains: evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and digital health while offering in-depth modules on noncommunicable diseases, mental health, emergency care, and infection prevention and control. It embeds the Essential Public Health Functions (EPHFs) and leverages the Family Health Team (FHT) model to build strong, multidisciplinary practice.
Participants engage in workshops, workplace-based learning, and a capstone field project that tackles a real-world PHC challenge, ensuring that learning goes beyond the classroom and leads to meaningful change on the ground.
